Meals & Downtime
Welcome Reception – Join us for drinks and hors d’oeuvres: Tuesday, September 5, 6:00 – 9:00 pm.
All meals will be provided throughout the meeting (Tuesday reception to Friday conclusion).
Friday Workshop
In collaboration with the AAAS SciLine team, we will host a workshop on Friday afternoon (~12 – 4 pm) for early career scientists regarding engaging with the media.

Presentations
Speakers should plan for a question and discussion period within their allotted time slot.
Posters
Approximate poster size will be 40" x 40". Posters will be displayed throughout the meeting with ample time for discussion.

Meeting dates
The GMT Community Science Meeting will be held at the Intercontinental Hotel at the Wharf in Washington, D.C., September 6 – 8. The opening reception will be Tuesday evening (September 5). Wednesday and Thursday will be full days of talks; the conference will conclude on Friday, September 8 after lunch.
COVID-19 policies
We are taking a number of steps to allow safe, face-to-face participation!
For all participants, we require proof of vaccination (3 doses) at check-in and registration.
Outdoor, shaded areas will be provided for all meals and other social interactions (i.e., welcome reception).
Masks will be recommended in the meeting and poster areas.
We will have a supply of masks on-site (N95).
We ask that participants self-test using rapid COVID tests each morning prior to attending the meeting. Tests will be provided at registration.
Photography
The GMTO Corporation will be taking photos and videos to document and promote the Community Science Meeting. Please contact connect@gmto.org if you have any questions or comments. The photos will be posted to the Gallery during the meeting. Thank you again for your participation.
Deadlines
Title and abstract for your contributed talk must be submitted as part of the registration process. You can register first and come back later to add or update your title and abstract.
Please book your hotel arrangements for the Intercontinental Washington, D.C. — The Wharf under our preferred group rate. See our Travel page for more information on the venue. Registration without hotel accommodation is available until Aug 18.
