Registration Deadline: August 18, 2023
Please book the hotel under our preferred group rate before August 4. Registration without hotel accommodation is available until the August 18.
Travel Support Eligibility
SOC members, invited speakers, students and post docs are all eligible to receive travel support.
Travel support must be requested in advance. Reimbursement will be processed after the event and require receipts submitted within 30 days. Due to our not-for-profit classification, we must follow rigorous reimbursement rules:
The travel support is only for flight and ground transportation (taxi, Uber, Lyft) to and from the airport.
We will not be reimbursing costs for rental cars.
All travel shall be booked on regularly scheduled airlines at economy fares unless the attendee seeking reimbursement uses a free or self-paid upgrade.
As food is provided for all participants, no reimbursements will be provided for meals.
Hotel Reimbursement
If you are eligible for support, your hotel reservation will be made by GMTO. Please do not book your hotel reservation directly if you have been confirmed for support.

Student/Post Doc Support Request (DEADLINE: July 7, 2023):
To receive support, students and postdocs must submit the following materials:
A half-page description of your current research. If you are submitting a talk or poster abstract, that abstract can serve as your description of current research and you do not need to submit a separate half-page description.
Letter of recommendation from a supervisor describing how the candidate will benefit from attending the conference.
Please attach these two documents to your registration submission. Support requests must be received by July 7, 2023. All support notifications will be going out via email by July 21, 2023.
