Presentations

Speakers should plan for a 5 minute question and discussion period within their allotted time slot.

We will use a common laptop for presentations. Presentations should use common software such as Keynote, PowerPoint, or PDF. They should be provided to conference organizers in advance of the session in which you are scheduled so they can be tested.

Posters

Poster size is limited to 40" x 40".

Posters titles will be included in the printed program if received by September 10, 2019. Posters submitted after that time may still be posted at the conference and included in the short poster advertisement presentations during the sessions.

 

 

Support Eligibility

SOC members, invited speakers, students and post docs are all eligible to receive support.

All support will be in form of reimbursement and will require receipts. We will not be providing a per diem. Due to our not-for-profit classification we must follow rigorous reimbursement rules.

All reimbursement forms will be processed after the event. You will have 30 days following the conference to submit a completed reimbursement form along with your accompanying receipts for your actual expenditures. Reimbursement forms submitted after October 21, 2019 will not be processed.

Travel Reimbursement

The travel support is only for flight and ground transportation (taxi, Uber, Lyft) to and from the airport. We will not be reimbursing costs for rental cars.

All travel shall be booked on regularly scheduled airlines at economy fares unless the attendee seeking reimbursement used a free or self-paid upgrade.

Meal Reimbursement

We will be providing food for the entirety of the conference and so we will not be providing reimbursements for any meals.

Hotel Reimbursement

We will provide hotel accommodation reimbursement up to $815.00 only for the scheduled conference dates (check-in Sep. 18, check-out Sep. 21).

Student/Post Doc Support Request:

The candidate selection for recipients of support will be performed by the local organizing committee on the basis of the following submitted materials:

  1. Description of current research,

  2. Letter of recommendation from a supervisor describing how the candidate will benefit from attending the conference.

Please attach these two documents to your registration submission. All support notifications will be going out via email by August 2, 2019. If you have not received notification of a specific amount of support awarded to you by August 2, 2019, then you were not awarded any support and GMTO will not reimburse any of your expenses.
